What This Is
myTakeHome is a free UK salary calculator, available as this website and a Chrome browser extension. By using either, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website or the extension.
Estimates, Not Advice
Everything myTakeHome shows you is an estimate for guidance only. It is not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it does not account for your full personal circumstances (such as benefits in kind, multiple employments, self-employed income, or tax reliefs the calculator does not model). Before making decisions based on these figures — such as accepting a job offer or changing your pension contributions — verify the numbers with HMRC or a qualified adviser.
Accuracy
We take care to keep rates and thresholds correct: they are taken from published GOV.UK and gov.scot sources and verified against official figures. However, we cannot guarantee that the calculations are error-free or that they reflect changes announced after our last update. Your actual pay is determined by your employer's payroll, your tax code, and HMRC, and their figures are authoritative.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, myTakeHomeaccepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website, the extension, or the figures they produce. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we may change or withdraw it at any time. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Acceptable Use
You must not attempt to disrupt the service, misrepresent its output as official tax guidance, or republish its content at scale without permission. Sharing links to individual calculations is an intended use of the service.
Third-Party Sites
Job listings the extension annotates, and external links we provide (including GOV.UK), belong to their respective owners and have their own terms. A take-home badge on a listing does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, that job board.
